Each year, Oak Mountain Academy holds an annual auction to raise funds that help support the operations of the school. Each class is responsible for putting together an "auction project" that will be sold in the live auction at the event. This will be the second time in the past few years that I will lend assistance with a photography-related project.
This year our Pre-K class discussed what profession they would like to have when they grow up. For the auction project, we decided to extend this theme to include a photograph of each child dressed in the full adult-sized clothing of their chosen profession. The photographs will be arranged into a collage that will be output on a large format print and auctioned during the event.
The children were adobrable in the professional wear and everyone had a great time making the photos. The setup garnered a lot of attention from other students in the lower school, where were all interested to see what was taking place.
I'm looking forward to the auction event on March 9th to see how the project does in the auction. Happy bidding!
